Today is our first day back with students, and I am exhausted. So far, so good though. No complaints.
Just a few things to share, since I've been missing in action for so long-->
1. Geno celebrated his 42nd birthday on July 29th. I can't believe that we met when he was 19. We were babies!!! I love this man more than words can express!!!
2. This salad dressing is awesome! I've had strawberry vinaigrette at various restaurants (mainly Panera), and it so good on a grilled chicken salad with apples, blueberries, pecans, etc.
I have vowed not to take any "tv" dinners for lunch this year. In the past, I've always taken Lean Cuisine dinners, because they are easy to put into my lunch bag and pop into the microwave the next day. Although I like the taste of them well enough, there is just not enough nutritional value to them, and they are far too filled with sodium.
In the summer it's easy for me to get off track with my eating. Summer means freedom, and it gives me the feeling that I should indulge and have whatever I want. A few weeks of that kind of thinking/behavior gets me going in the WRONG direction. Enough about all of that...I think you'll like the dressing! :)
3. Every year, the air conditioner in my classroom acts up when school starts. This year was no exception. I walked in yesterday morning, and there was water all over the floor. Not a little water...a Flood!
I was glad that I wore shorts, because it was a mess and a half to clean up! Luckily, a work order was placed, and the leaky AC was fixed before classes started today.
Tomorrow is Friday. Hallelujah!
